The Ten Year Retirement Plan

Retirement may not be as far away as you think. There is hope, even if you think your situation is hopeless.

HOPE FOR RETIREMENT

There are 79 million baby-boomers. Since January 1, 2008 approximately every 7 seconds, a baby-boomer turns 60 years old. As the baby-boomers approach retirement, many are wondering if they can retire, let alone within the next ten years. Sixty-five was the once thought of age for retirement, but in this day of economic collapse, that age seems unreasonable to many boomers.

In the past 3 or so months, many retirement portfolios where hit hard, and if that trend continues, there's no telling what could happen. Dwindling 401(k)'s, troubled financial institutes, an unstable stock market, and a federal government that is on the verge of bankruptcy does not make for a very bright future. And I didn't even mention the massive corporate colapses. YIKES! How can I even think of retiring at a time like this?

I'm sure that question has been asked quite often by one of your friends or family members, especially if they are one of those 79 million baby-boomers.

According to the Social Security Trustees, the fund will be insolvent by 2017 because it will be paying out more than it receives. So if you're planning on the US government to take care of you, that is not going to happen. As a matter of fact, it's reported that the Social Security System will be depleted of funds by 2041. Now doesn't that just sound wonderful? You pay into that system your whole life, just to reach that age where you can make a few withdrawls, and BAM, there's no money. Are you starting to feel like there's no hope?

Well, enough gloom and doom; I'm here to provide hope to anyone who DOES NOT believe they can retire successfully in 10 years or less. That is the true intention of this web site. There is a way for you to retire within the next ten years, but it will come at a cost, your undivided attention.

Most people don't believe they can retire, let alone retire within the next ten years. But if you're willing to give your full attention, and dedicate the next several years of your life to your priotities (retirement), instead of what you like to do, you will retire within ten years. As the old adage goes, anything worth while takes time, energy, and dedication. If that's what you're looking for, then you've come to the right place.

Having the proper mindset is the first step to retiring in ten years. Secondly, you have to visualize your retirement, and thirdly, you need a plan. If you have the proper mindset, and you can visualize youreself retiring within the next ten years, you have two-thirds of the equasion. I have the the last third, the PLAN.
